"World Governance: Do We Need It, Is It Possible, What Could It (All) Mean?"
will take place at:

Belgrade University, Faculty of Philosophy, Room 108
June 27–28, 2006

The event begins at 9:00 am

In the age of globalization, and increased interdependence in the world that we face today, there is a question we have to raise: Do we need and could we attain a world government, capable of insuring the peace and facilitating worldwide well-being in a just and efficient way. We think this is the right point in time to explore this issue in more precise terms from the philosophical point of view, and attempt to understand its moral, legal, political, historical and other aspects.

International Law and Ethics Conference Series
(ILECS) is an ongoing project, a unique endeavor, now in its eight year. ILECS uses a dialogic-comparative model consisting of a conference each June at Belgrade University and a follow-up conference in the US. This two-part strategy has given leading moral, legal, and political philosophers – and increasingly, scholars from other disciplines – from the US and Western Europe the opportunity to meet with their Eastern European counterparts to discuss issues of global importance, many of which have been generated by the events in the region.

This event has been funded in part by the Serbian Ministry
of Science and Environmental Protection

Doduse, dan pre pocetka konferencije... Pa nije ni bilo mnogo studenata da slusa.
Mislim da je sekretarica okacila i neki mini, mini, mini plakat na neku od oglesnih tabli na 3.
